9-wkt win for MA Stadium XI, enters semis

The MA Stadium XI today sailed into the semi-finals after the balanced team young cricketers inflicted a nine-wicket defeat on Luxmi Cricket Club (LCC) in the ongoing Satish Sharma memorial under-19 cricket tournament at Parade ground, here.
In a low scoring quarterfinal match, MA Stadium XI restricted LCC to a small total of 111 runs bowling out the whole side in 26.2 overs of the 35 overs game. And later, MA Stadium XI chased the total in just 13.3 overs losing one wicket.
Earlier, LCC made a good start with opening wicket partnership yielding 51 runs, but the wickets felled on regular intervals thereafter making an end to the innings at 111 runs.
Bunty and Shivam played sensible innings contributing 20 and unbeaten 18 for LCC respectively. Mohit also batted well and added 15 runs to the score. However, extras contributed highest 37 runs to the total. From MA Stadium XI, Vipul Kumar, Johny Jamwal and Sourav Bhagat shared two wickets each while Dheeraj bagged one.
Batting second, MA Stadium achieved the target of 112 runs in mere 13.3 overs with nine wickets in hand thereby entering the semi-finals in style.
Devi Dayal was top scorer from MA Stadium XI, who contributed unbeaten 43 off 36 balls including five fours and a six. Dalbir Singh was also not out at 32 studded with six boundaries. Extras figure was again higher side with 37.
Devi Dayal was later declared man of the match for his brilliant batting.
Next matches: Gorkha Cricket Club V/s Rehari Cricket Club at 8.30 am tomorrow; Shastri Cricket Club V/s Trikuta College XI at 8.20 am on October 13.
