The combined mechanical employees union of Jammu division today elected new office bears, electing S. Joginder Singh Risam as president.
A meeting in this regard was hold here today under the chairmanship of state president of INTUC, Shiv Kumar Sharma. The other members of the union are Bhushan Kumar as Sr. vice president Fateh Singh as vice president, Manoj Kumar Anil Dogra as accountants, Gopal Krishan Khajuria and Raj Kumar Mehra as chief organizer. Beside Suvatantar Kumar and Balkar Chand as the general secretaries.
Later on union members also met Chief Engineer and submitted a charter of demand demanding equal wages to daily wager, as they are being paid Rs.900 uniform to all the drivers, operators and maintainess staff, in havement of trip money to drivers from Rs.16 to Rs.50 per trip pending cases of ITI be cleared under SRO 149. The Chief Engineer who give patient hearing assured that he will look into the genuine demands of the employees. |
