| APDF to hold dharna on Oct 18 to press for its demands | | | Early Times Reporter

All Parties Development Front (APDF) Doda in a meeting chaired by Thakur Chuni Lal President has decided to hold a dharna on October 18 at old Bus stand here to press for its demands for opening of University Campus at Doda, opening of High Court at the district headquarters, opening of Doda-Dessa Kapran road, grant of tehsil status for Marmat Bhagwah and Mahalla , change of examination session from March-April to October- November, setting of Doda Development Authority and connecting Doda Chnnai road via Marmat.
Mohammad Ashraf Zargar, Abdul Latief Rangrez, Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev, Niaz Ahmed Azad, Abdul Rehman Gattu and Abdul Rehman Wani were among others present in the meeting.
In the meanwhile, Doda Students Federation (DSF) President Amjad Ali Molvi has extended his full support and cooperation to APDF’s proposed dharna and the public meeting .
In his press statement he said that for the last five years the building for the Degree College has not yet been constructed and demanded introduction of more subjects like commerce, geology, geography etc as promised by the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad during his speech on last Annual Day function at the College. He further supported the demands made by the people of Chattroo, Gandoh, Gool and Banihal for opening of Degree Colleges at these places and extended his full support and cooperation to them. |
