| Ceasefire talks by some self styled terrorist outfits meaningless, Gupta | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 10 The former Union Minister and a senior BJP leader, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has described the cease-fire talks by some self-styled commanders of some terrorist outfit as of little meaning because the real trouble shooter is Pakistan and these “Mujahids” are just tools of designers operating from across the border. In this regard, Prof. Gupta pointed out that before launching their “Operation TOPAC” by the military rulers of Pakistan in 1989, the violence and terror were alien in Kashmir though some of the Kashmiri leaders had been talking for separatism and limited accession to Indian Union. But that too, was having its roots abroad and unrealistic approach adopted by the leadership of the Congress under communal considerations despite this very communalism had led to the painful partition of the country and emergence of theoretic state of Pakistan, he asserted. Addressing meetings of the party activists of Chenani and Udhampur Assembly Constituencies, Prof. Gupta lashed upon the Congress and alleged that its leadership was never having any Kashmir policy, not to say of the past, even today and retention of Article 370 after 58 years granting separate status although it was a temporary provision, speaks itself the folly committed despite warnings by the nationalists. Prof. Gupta observed that Congress led coalition of the state have proved a total failure on all fronts and maladies of fundamentalism, communalism and anti-national voices like that of boggy of violation of human rights, reversal of integration process and self-rule have assumed new proportions. In this connection, he particularly referred to the demand of withdrawal of troops and said that such voice was never heard earlier in the past. The number of scandals and mounting demonstrations also prove that the problems have been multiplied and discrimination against Jammu and Ladakh still persisted with new dimensions. The meetings were also attended by the veteran BJP leader Shiv Charan, district president of Udhampur, Om Parkash, Dina Nath Bhagat, Krishan Lal and Pawan Gupta. |
