| Rates of milk, milk products fixed | | | Early Times Reporter

In order to revise/review the rates of milk and milk products, Director CAPD convened a meeting of representatives of Milk and Cheese Sellers Association, Dodhi Gujjars union, Jammu Municipality and various consumers associations here at his office chamber.
It was decided that before fixing the of rates, the expenditure incurred on various inputs would be determined and till then the prevailing rates of milk and milk products shall remain enforce.
The rates approved for double tonned milk with 1.5 percent fat and 9 percent of SNF at Rs 12 per litre, cow milk containing 3.5 percent fat and 8.5 percent SNF at Rs 14.50 per litre, buffalo milk containing 5.6 percent fat and 9.5 percent SNF at Rs 16.50 per litre, curd standard milk loose at Rs 17 per kg and cheese without water contents (dry) at Rs 80 per kg.
The above rates shall be exclusive from VAT. Anybody found overcharging will be dealt with sternly, an official handout said.
