Umar Himayun, Fahad Hundoo and Owais Baba today registered easy straight frames victories over their opponents to advance in the 17th Srinagar district billiards and snooker championship underway at Billiards Hall, Bakshi Stadium, here.
The results: Umar Himayun bt M N Khan 2-0 (64-7, 69-17); Fahad Hundoo bt Shahid Nizami 2-0 (57-56, 60-34); Owais Baba bt Tauseef Mehraj 2-0 (58-46, 63-20).
Meanwhile, in senior billiards, M N Khan and Younis Kuchey won their respective matches. While it was an easy win for Khan, Younis had a narrow escape against Syed Maqbool.
The results: M N Khan bt Azan Amin 200-80; Younis Kuchey bt Syed Maqbool 200-191.
