Srinagar | Oct 12
The Jammu and Kashmir government has sought a detailed project report for the construction of another bridge at Chandanwari enroute the holy cave shrine of Amarnath before the commencement of annual pilgrimage next year.
Roads and Buildings Minister Gulchain Singh Charak informed this during an inspection of the area.
He said the upgrading of the 16-km long Pahalgam-Chandanwari road with three bridges was completed in a record period at a cost of Rs 5.07 crore under the Central Road Funding (CRF) scheme.
The construction work of the road was taken this year on a war footing as it was badly damaged due to landslides.
