Young Owais Baba today clinched the junior snooker title in the 17th Srinagar district billiards and snooker championship underway at Billiards Hall, Bakshi Stadium here.
Owais defeated Hashmat Wani 3-1 in best of five game. Losing first frame to Hashmat, Owais clinched the remaining three frames, including an easy third 67-0. The score: 23-55, 64-44, 67-28, 67-0.
Meanwhile, in senior billiards, M N Khan has reached the final beating Riyaz Parry 200-177 in the semi-finals this afternoon.
In the meantime, Fahad and Umer Himayun have advanced into the next round of senior snooker competitions. In today’s matches, Fahad beat Umer Shah in straight frames 66-36, 89-30 while Umer Himayun beat Mudassir Ashiq 68-51, 57-38. |
