Playing a power-packed game, the hosts BSF School Jammu girls clinched the under-14 title outplaying Presentation Convent School (PCS) by a margin of four goals (7-3) in the final of inter-CBSE North Zone Handball championships being played at BSF Campus, Paloura near here.
The BSF School Jammu girls have also made it into the final of under-19 year group. Now, they will face a tough opponent in Army Public School Delhi Cantt. tomorrow at 9 am.
In the meantime, BSF School Paloura boys have qualified for the final and will be playing against National Public School Kurali tomorrow for title. Earlier, in today’s last league matches, BSF School Jammu boys defeated JK Public School 23-12 and National Public School beat DPS Srinagar 25-19.
The finals have been scheduled for morning session whereas the valedictory function shall take place at 3.30 in the afternoon. In the prize distribution function, Principal, Government Medical College, Dr Rajinder Singh has consented to be the chief guest. |
