| School building, residential houses gutted in fire across Kashmir | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Oct 13 At least five residential cum commercial structures including a school building were gutted in separate fire incidents across the Kashmir valley during the last twenty four hours. Official spokesman said that fire broke out in Govt. Middle School building at Khari Watna in Tangmarg during which the school building was gutted completely. The Cause of fire was not immediately known and was being ascertained by the police. In another, sources said fire broke out at Mehraj Pora Batmaloo , Srinagar, in which single storied house of Nazir Ahmad Dar, son of Qadir Dar was gutted completely, sources said adding that a rice Mill and a shed of Islamic Darasgah were also partially damaged in the incident. Fire broke out at Dakban, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Charar-e-Sharief Budgam, resulting in partial damage to the cowshed of Gh. Nabi Bhat ,son of Gani Bhat . Cause of fire is being ascertained. Meanwhile, reports reaching here said that fire broke out in compartment No 76 ANH of Manigah forests in the frontier district of Kupwara. Police along with the concerned department is trying to control the fire. |
