| Azad pays rich tributes to Rajiv Gandhi | | |
Srinagar, August 19, 2006 –Remembering Late Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary on August 20, 2006 and paying rich tributes to the great leader, Chief Minister Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad highlighted the sacrifice of Rajiv Gandhi who attained martyred while serving the nation.
Chief Minister said that late Rajiv Gandhi laid his life like his mother, Mrs Indira Gandhi for the nation and vindicated the fact that Nehru Gandhi family is epitome of sacrifices of selflessness.
Mr Azad said that same spirit of sacrifice has shown the Mrs Sonia Gandhi time and again earning highest place in the hearts of the people of India. He said the best way of paying tributes to Rajiv Gandhi is to strengthen the values of secularism, brotherhood, love and amity and carrying forward the country towards new highs of progress and development the great leader envisioned, Mr Azad added. |
