| Salathia asks party activists to be ready for elections, predicts early poll | | | Vijaypur | Oct 13
Giving a clarion call to rank and file of the party to get themselves actively involved in the electioneering, the senior NC leader and former Minister Surjit Singh Salathia predicted early elections to the State Assembly.
Addressing delegates conference at village Gho Rakwalan (Swankha) in Vijaypur constituency today, the NC leader said that growing bickrings among the coalition partners there was every possibility of early elections and called upon the party workers to fan out in their areas to bring the shortcoming and the failure of the coalition dispensation exposed. ‘The promises made during the previous elections, he said, has altogether fallen flat’, he said adding that the people were fed up with the dismal performance of the government.
Lashing out the government of its failure on all front, the NC leader alleged that people were facing problem on account of unscheduled power-cuts, acute shortage of drinking water, non disbursement of old aged/handicapped/widow pension.
Salathia alleged that no development work has been carried out in Vijaypur constituency as a result there is a great resentment among the people of the area. |
