| Sikhs to press demands through road campaign:JKNSF | | | Early Times Reporter

Jammu and Kashmir National Sikh Front is organizing car and scooter rally on October 15 from Gurdwara Suchkhund Sahib, Gole Gujral to Press Club, Jammu. This was stated by the front’s president Kulwant Singh in a press communiqué today.
The said rally is meant for pressing the government for providing 10 pc quota for Sikh youth in employment and educational institutes. The front has approached and appealed on number of occasions with the central and state governments but they haven’t paid any heed, he said.
He informed that the central government has kept the reservation for those populace who represents 22 pc of the total population of the country and by this method other communities especially Sikhs whose population is only 2 pc has been ignored.
Kulwant threatened that if the demand is not met with the front will intensify the stir
He appealed the Sikh Sangat to participate in the rally in large numbers.
The rally would be supervised by Chairman of the National Front S.Varinderjit Singh. |
