The workers of two political parties clashed with each other during the inaugural function of Ram Leela at village Chakrohi last night. No sooner the National conference leader arrived the venue to inaugurate the function BJP supporters protested against it leading a clash between the two parties.
According to reports last night the Ram Leela Committee had invited NC leader Taranjeet Singh Tony for inauguration of the function and as soon as he reached the village the supporters of BJP leader Sham Lal Choudhry rank sacked the stage and clashed with the NC workers. The local villagers informed the police and a police party led by SHO Kuldeep Khajuria rushed to the spot and controlled the entire situation.
The workers of both the parties leveled charges and counter charges against each other and BJP activists said that NC leader had not been invited to inaugurate the function and had in fact came of his own which led to the clashes between the workers of the two parties. |
