The Special Police Officers (SPOs) of the R.S.Pura and Suchetgarh areas are without salary for the last three months causing great incontinence and hardships.
Talking to “Early Times” some of the SPOs on conditions of anonymity said though they have been working round the clock but have not been paid the salary for the three months forcing their families to starvation. They said despite several requests to this account, no heed has been paid by the authorities that matter as a result of which they were facing enormous problems to meet up the day-to-day expenditure
These SPOs said that the increase ordered in their salary some time past too has not been paid to them so far and maintained that this was not the first time when their salary has been delayed. It has now become a regular practice with the department to release the salaries of the SPOs at their sweet will without taking into consideration the requirements and urgency. Similar is the case with the ex-servicemen, the sources said. |
