Kuldeep Sharma today defeated Kamal Rohmetra to claim the senior billiards title in the 17th Jammu district billiards and snooker championships underway at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here.
Earlier, losing the first frame 38-70 to Kamal, Kuldeep won the following easily 63-10. Kamal again took the lead winning the third frame potting the black 57-60. However, Kuldeep was not in a mood to give up and clinched the three frames in a row to make it a 4-2 win. The score (in favour of Kuldeep): 38-70, 63-10, 57-60, 64-20, 61-47, 67-53.
Meanwhile, the senior billiards final shall be played tomorrow between Kamal Rohmetra and Jaideep Manocha at 3 pm, followed by the prize distribution function at 5 pm.
