| Govts’ policy of rewarding honest officer’s hailed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTING

A meeting of Tax Bar Association (TBA), Complex, under the Chairmanship of its president Rattan Lal Gupta, Advocate.
In the meeting the policy of State government to encourage honest and meritorious officers, by awarding them Chief Minister’s Gold Medal, cash award of rupee one lac and other incentives including out of turn promotion was highly appreciated.
According to press release in the meeting members conveyed their heartiest congratulations to Bashir Ahmad Khawaja, Commissioner Commercial Taxes/ Sales Tax, on behalf of \Tax Bar Association, for being honoured with Chief minister’s Gold Medal for his meritorious services.
The meeting maintained that since Khawaja took over as Commissioner Commercial Taxes/ Sales Tax has streamed line of the working of the department and has tired his level nest to bring the working of the Commercial Taxes/ Sales Tax Department on the modern lines keeping in view introduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) Act, 2005.
Those who were present in the meeting included Kamal Gupta, Vice President, Sourab Mahajan, Jt. Secretary and other senior members of Tax Bar Association, Jammu.
