Look, who’s now running a flesh trade racket in city’s outskirts. If sources are to be believed, this time it is a keep of a politician who is managing a sleaze trade under jurisdiction of Gangyal police station.
A palatial bungalow of the mistress, which appears more a guest house rather than a residential accommodation, is a place where girls of various ages and backgrounds can be made available to the customers by this ‘influential’ woman, obviously on the behest of her politician paramour, who is infamous in political circles for resorting to blackmailing tactics frequently.
Early Times scribe who, as a part of investigation, visited the bungalow and spent nearly two hours there was witness to the trade going on in there in number of shifts and observed that girls from various backgrounds and different age groups being offered to the customers. It was learnt that income in thousands of rupees is pocketed by the woman in a day through this trade. This is the range of income what she earns after distributing the share to the girls who offer themselves for carnal desires of the customers and middlemen involved, sources informed.
The politician’s keep manage a large number of girls from various sources - outside the city, colleges and surrounding villages besides from parts of Punjab and other states.
According to the sources, the woman was alleged to be involved in murder of her husband few years ago. Though taken into custody by the police then, the woman was set free owing to the influence she enjoyed in political circles.
Sources revealed that the politician also uses his keep as well as other girls in the racket as bait to seek appointments and transfers of officers. The duo also shoots the ‘influential’ customers or those whom they offer ‘services’ for favours indulged in satisfying carnal desires with these girls and blackmail them for more favours or money.
The girls offering themselves to the customers also mostly comprise of those being blackmailed after somehow managing to photograph them in compromising positions, sources added.
Sources also disclosed that a group of four police officers (of inspector and sub inspector ranks) regularly visit the bungalow.
Even as police had sometime back laid a trap to nab this politician, but all efforts went in vein owing to the influence he enjoys, sources said. |
