ICDS Project Vijaypur today organized
one-day refresher course for adolescent girls at Vijaypur under Kishori Shakti Yojana.
About 60 adolescent girls selected from anganwari centers of zone Swankha, Birpur and Kanhal participated in the refresher course.
CDPO, Mr Rajeev Singh Salaria, Medical Officer ICDS, Mr Foujia Bakhari, ACDPO, Ms Nirmal Kumari, CHO, Mr Mohan Singh, CHO, Ms Neelam Jamwal, resource person Ms Shivani Abrol and supervisors also attended the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Salaria said that social status of adolescent girls is low due to early marriage and pregnancy. This refresher course is aimed at giving knowledge about health, nutrition, addressing the problems of social abuses legal literacy and knowledge of rights. He said that this refresher course will improve their health, nutrition and social status, 40 adolescent girls will be selected for vocational courses. |
