BIMS organises seminar on "Hinduism- a scientific way of life"

To mark the centenary birth celebrations of Guru Golvalkaoji, Bhartiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti (BIMS) J&K chapter organised a national seminar on "Hinduism- a scientific way of life" at Jammu University here today. Swami Amritanand, shankaracharya of Sharda Sarvagya Peeth, Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) was the chief guest on the occasion whereas; Prof. Ved Ghai, a renowned scholar of Sanskrit and Indian culture presided over the function.
Seminar begins with the lighting of traditional lamp by Swami Ji and other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, Swami Shankaracharya revealed the real meaning of 'Hinduism' and its broader outlook which it has given to the world. The spoke in length over the real meaning of humanism which is very close to Hinduism. He emphasized on the need to follow its true principles.
Prof. Satish Mittal, National Vice President, BIMS in his address introduced the aims and objectives of the various research schemes of BIMS. He said that Samiti is working to disapprove various myths about the Indian culture especially the myth about Aryan's invasion of India. It has also unearthed the mythical river Saraswati. Prof. Ghai while speaking on the occasion highlighted the scientific temper of Hinduism. She elaborated upon the fact that Indian Civilization has passed the present scientific stage many years ago and framed all those formulated principles in ancient scriptures.
Prominent scholars who presented their papers in the seminar were Prof. S C Mittal, Prof. Damodar Jha, Prof. K N Sharma, Dr. R B Shukla, Prof. Vishwamurti Shastri etc.
