A joint team of army and police today arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) and recovered some ammunition from his possession at Nilsu area 9 km South of Doda.
SSP Doda, Manohar Singh said acting on a specific input that some OGWs were helping and harbouring some ultras, a joint team of police and army arrested one OGW along with one AK magazine and seven rounds when he was moving under suspicious circumstances in the area. Identified as Samad Lone alias Gugu son of Ghulam Rasul resident of Nilsu, the accused has been taken to police station for further interrogation. Sources said during interrogation he told police that he was active in the area since last many years and helped the militants. He is also reported to have given some details about the militant hideouts in the area and the forces are on the look out to launch search operation. Police has also registered a case in this regard. |
