| Patients’ registration goes high tech in SMGS Hospital | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 16 To cope up with the heavy rush of patients in the OPD and to streamline the registration process of patients reporting in the SMGS hospital here, the hospital administration has taken the lead to computerize the registration process. In the first phase, the OPD registration has been computerized and the patients reporting to OPD will get the computerized registration cards with their name, age, sex,. residential address, name of the department to which reporting, stamp of the doctor with his/her name and designation and the OPD follow up days, while computerization process for the indoor patients is also on the anvil. Medical Superintendent SMGS Hospital, Dr Yashpal Sharma said today that the soft ware for the hospital has been developed by a reputed company of the state ‘SAY Technologies’ Gandhi Nagar, free of cost, as a social initiative. The establishment of this software, the OPD registration process has not only been strengthened but made more accurate, he said adding that nearly 1500 patients for different OPD s in the hospital would be registered per day, while the modalities are being worked out for the indoor patients’ computerized registration. Dr. Rajinder Singh, Principal and Dean GMC Jammu, has appreciated the efforts of the Medical Superintendent, his team and Surinder Sharma of M/S SAY Technologies in computerization of the OPD registration and assured of providing two medical record technicians along with two computers and printers for further computerization of registration. |
