A renowned Muslim cleric of Leh Sheikh Mirz Hussain who died in Srinagar, today was given a tearful adieu when his mortal remains were taken for burial at Leh.
Among others who attended the mourn procession were power minister Nawang Rigzin Jora, Chief Executive Councilor, Leh, Chering Dorje, Executive Councilor, health Dorje Mutup, MLC P. Namgail, MLA Nubra. Pintoo Norboo, Deputy commissioner, Leh Dr. M.K Bhandari, councilor, heads of religious and political organizations and large number of people. Beside this executive councilor PWD, LAHDC Kargil. Nasir Munshi, MLA Zanskar, Mohd. Raza, councilor Agha Muktar and many Ulimas and Aghas of Kargil who reached Leh accompanying the mortal remain also attended the procession.
Leh Bazar remained closed for half day in honour of the deceased religious leader. |
