| General Kapoor releases coffee Table book | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 16 A Coffee Table Book titled ‘Techno Warriors of the Indian Army: Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers in Operations’ was released by General Deepak Kapoor, Chief of Army Staff at a function held at Army Headquarters, New Delhi today on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the Corps of EME. The unveiling of the book was carried out in the presence of Lieutenant General SS Dhillon, Master General of Ordnance and Lieutenant General Arvind Mahajan, Director General of EME. The book, which is a visual delight, captures the glorious and invaluable contributions made by the Corps of EME in various wars and operations fought by the Indian Army including counter insurgency operations and operations in aid to civil authorities. The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers has provided the cutting edge to the combat forces of the Indian Army, both in times of adversity and prosperity, with unparalleled commitment and dedication. The Coffee Table Book traces the lineage of the soldier craftsman, covers the formation of the Corps and highlights important facets of the growth of the Corps in every decade of its existence. The battle accounts encapsulated are hitherto untold sagas of personal and collective valour, dogged determination and sacrifice to keep the wheels of the Army moving and the guns firing. |
