| Pahari speaking people demand ST status | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 16 Pahari Employees and Cultural Welfare Forum has flayed state government for alleged neglect of Pahari speaking people declaring that community members would go for courting arrests. Provincial Vice President of the Forum Azeem Ali Shah told NAK that government so far has failed to full-fill long pending demand of the Pahari speaking people, who have been demanding ST status. "Centre and state government have maintained a silence over the issue which has been causing resentment among the Pahari speaking people," said Shah. He said that disappointed over neglect of the community, members of the community would go for courting arrests. He has also requested the community legislators and politicians to come forward and court their arrests. "Delaying tactics of the government would not be tolerated and members of the community are now ready to challenge this government for its inefficiency," he told He said that community would leave no stone unturned to get the ST status, "which is a just and genuine demand." |
