| AWWA to organize week- long camp at Udhampur | | | UDHAMPUR AUG 19
A Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is organizing a camp to show case its entire range of products at the week long celebrations of the Army Wives Welfare Association at Udhampur. The camp to be held from August 21 to August 26 would be inaugurated by the President AWWA Northern Command. A large number of ex-servicemen families and war widows are expected to participate the camp. The KVIC as a special gesture has announced 30 percent discount on all products. For the entrepreneurs of small- scale industries, a training program as also the procedure for seeking bank loans have also been arranged. To address the problems of the Ex-servicemen, a Help Line has also been established at Chinar complex while a team of doctors from Command Hospital would be available at the camp for taking care of the medical related problems of the ex-servicemen. Daily free bus service is also being provided from Ramnagar, Majalta and Katra for the conveyance of ex-servicemen and their families. A host of cultural events including magic show, drawing and essay competition and screening of movies would also form part of the week- long celebrations.
