Kilam releases “Vardaan”
Separate stadium for Trikuta College soon, Dr Sharma

“Vardaan”, the annual number of the in-house journal of Shri Sain Charitable Trust for Higher Education and Research, Nardani Raipur, was released at a function here today by Director College Development Council University of Jammu Dr Minakshi Kilam.
She appreciated the efforts of the Chairman of Trikuta Group of Colleges Dr Roop Lal Sharma for striving to keep up the highest standards of the education in private sector in Jammu region.
Dr Kilam said that Dr Sharma has been instrumental in inculcating the values and hard work in the curriculum of the Trikuta Group of Colleges which was evident from the fact the group colleges have been getting lions share in the positions tally in annual results of various degree programmes besides numerous medals in various sports activities.
Dr Kilam also appreciated the role of the teachers, principals and students in keeping up the educational standards at the highest place in the group colleges and asked students to take advantage of the numerous facilities provided by the group colleges and the University of Jammu to get best education for a better life.
Referring to the journal, she said that the contributions were of immense value and would inculcate the writing skills among students and asked them to write regularly for the college magazines as these act as the base for honing the intellectual skills of the students for the future.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Roop Lal Sharma said that the credit to the progress of the group colleges goes to the faculty members and the students who work hard to excel in the educational field thus making not only their careers but also contributing to the growth of the colleges.
Dr Sharma said that the group which started with just one college of Ayurveda has now seven full-fledged colleges, besides some new colleges are in the offing, he added..
Stressing the need for better facilities for the students, Dr Sharma said that Trikuta Group of Colleges has always been in the fore- front in extending the maximum possible facilities to the students in studies and other extra-curricular activities.
He said that college was coming up with its own stadium in the campus that would be only be the second after the stadium of University of Jammu in the region.
He said that the stadium will provide a chance to the sports lovers of the colleges to shape their skills in the college premises itself.
Later, the students presented a number of cultural items besides some thought provoking skits regarding the social evils.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks present by Dr Sakshi Sharma.
