| Mangat eulogizes Azad’s ‘historical decisions’ | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Oct 17 Saying that peace is pre-requisite for development, Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma has said that main motive of the government is to bring permanent peace and normalcy in the state. He said that due to sincere efforts of Centre and State governments Jammu and Kashmir State is marching fast towards development. Addressing a public gathering at Tullmulla, Ganderbal today, organized by Awami Behbood Committee Tullmulla on its first anniversary, Mr. Mangat said that our state has remained symbol of secularism and people have stood united against enemies of the state. Mr. Sharma said the time has come when our Pandit brothers should come back to their homes and live a prosperous life with their Muslim brethren. He appreciated the role of Kashmiri Muslims for looking after the property and religious places of Pandits in Kashmir valley during turmoil. He said Mata Kheer Bhawani Asthaphan being a famous holy place, derives thousands of devotees from various parts of the country for obeisance of Mata would be developed. He also said that Tullmulla village would be developed as a tourist and model village for which necessary steps are being initiated. He said Tullmulla hospital is being also upgraded besides 10-bedded facility other modern healthcare facilities would also be kept available round the clock in the hospital. Hailing the steps of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, the Minister said that due to the liberal funding provided by the Centre government J&K state is marching fast towards development. He said construction of hundreds of new developmental projects in the state has been taken up while as many more are nearing completion. Enumerating the achievements of the government, the Minister said that historical and exemplary steps have been taken up by the government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad for equal development of all the areas of the state. He said that creation of new 8 districts, 13 tehsils, 3 sub-divisions, conferring of ownership rights of 24000 kanals of land under Roshni scheme to poor farmers and opening of 22 new degree colleges besides upgradation of Srinagar and Jammu state hospitals on the pattern of AIIMS New Delhi are few people friendly steps of the present government. |
