| Adbi Kunj holds devotional poetic meet | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 17 To mark the importance of Navratra and Eid-ul-Fitr, Adbi Kunj a multi lingual literary organization organized a special devotional poetic meet which was presided over by eminent Punjabi and Dogri poet K.K. Shakir. President Adbi Kunj Sham Talib conveyed greetings to the people on behalf of Adbi Kunj on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the culmination of Ramzan, the month of fasts and celebration of sacred Navratras symbolizing offering of special prayers in honour of Maa Durga. He conveyed the messages of good wishes and greetings sent by Anand Lehar, Sohail Qazmi and Fida Kishtwari, Urdu poet from Kishtwar Sham Talib presented a write-up ‘Hum Aur Hamare Tyohar’, while Talib Kashmiri and K.K. Shakir read their articles captioned ‘Pawan Navratrey’ and ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’, respectively on the occasion. In the poetic session participants recited devotional songs and poems. Those who took part were K.K. Shakir, Talib Kashmiri, Susheel Deewana (from Budhal-Rajouri), Suresh Rahi, Nirmal Bhardwaj, Rajeev Kumar, Kimti Lal Begana, Jaswant Singh, Sham Talib, recited the ghazals received on phone from Fida Kishtwari (Kishtwar), Abdul Nayeem Sayyad (Rajouri), Ghulam Farooq Karnahi and Altaf Khaliq (both Kupwara, Kashmir). The meet ended with vote of thanks presented by Jaswant Singh, Chief Organiser Adbi Kunj. |
