| Tributes paid to martyrs | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 17 Panthers Party supremo, Bhim Singh paid a memorable homage to the student martyrs of 1966 who were gunned down by the police during the congress rule on 17th and 18th October as they were demanding a full fledged university for Jammu. Addressing a mammoth student rally at GGM Science College, Bhim called on the Panthers student union to take the initiative to unite the students for a common cause to ensure delivery of justice to the Jammu students and the unemployed engineers and doctors who have been sulking on the road for months seeking justice which remained denied to them by the congress-PDP rulers. S. Rangil Singh, Former Education Minister, Harsh Dev, Former Education minister, Anita Thakur, Fiaz Ahmed, Ashok Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia, PK Ganju, Usha Jayee , Principal Govt. Women College Parade were also presented on the occasion. Meanwhile, Joint Jammu Student Federation (JJSF) activists Avinash Sharma, Sher Khan, Himmat Sapolia and Neeraj Sharma who are on three days fast for the peace of departed souls today paid tributes to the martyrs and observed two minutes silence JJSF on this occasion is observing three days fast for the peace of these departed souls for the last 17 years. |
