| Mystery shrouds disappearance of body from GMC | | Two killed in road accidents, youth attempted suicide | | JAMMU AUG-19-Mystery shrouded the disappearance of a body of a middle- aged woman from the GMC Hospital, a dead body was found under suspicious circumstances, a road accident victim succumbed, a youth made an abortive attempt to commit suicide while two persons lost their life in two separate road accidents today.
A police spokesman said that Arti Devi wife of Suram Singh resident of Mania Tiba R S Pura expired in GMC hospital and her body was mysteriously taken away by someone from the hospital without permission from the hospital authorities.
The sources said that it has not been established as to who removed the body from the hospital and investigation is reportedly on in this regard.
In the meantime, Basharat Hussain code Bagga son of Ghulam Hussain Magrey of Dharamkund Batote was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his house. The body of the deceased was handed over to the legal heirs after conducting the postmortem.
The spokesman said that Sewak son of Madav of UP presently at Kathua was killed when hit by a speedy motorcycle at Kali Bari and Karnail Singh son of Bua Ditta of Chak Manga Samba lost his life when a truck hit him. Driver of the truck is reported to have fled away while the Police seized the truck and registered a case.
In the meantime Shanta Kumari wife of Brij Lal of Sarwal who was admitted in GMC as a road accident case succumbed to her injuries in the hospital today.
The spokesman said that Pardeep Kumar son of Baldev Kumar sustained injuries while trying to commit suicide with a sharp-edged knife at home .He was immediately shifted to GMC for treatment.
According to reports Police today recovered a male body under mysterious circumstances from a canal. Identified as Hardeep Singh son of Uttam Singh of Trikuta Nagar was missing from the last two days and his body was recovered today.
