| National integration camp concludes | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 19 A 12 days National Integration Camp of National Cadets Corps (NCC) J & K NCC Directorate, which was held at NCC Camping Ground, Nagrota was concluded today. This NIC was aimed the country with an aim to foster the spirit of National Integration and solitarily among the participants providing them an opportunity of community living creating awareness regarding the geographic variance, confluence of the divergent, culture, customs and traditions of the vast country. Governor S.K. Sinah visited the camp today and graced the function of the camp. He was the Guest of Honor for the cultural function being organized by the NCC Cadets from all over India who came here to attend the National Integration Camp. Addressing the cadets, Governor Sh. S. K. Sinah emphasized the cadets that the new generation should work and strengthen the elements of integration and contribute towards National Development to make the country a super power of the world of the 20th century. He said the youth should not get swayed by outside influences. He further said India is a geographical ex-pression and as a nation/Civilization we (India) are the only civilization surviving in the world. While addressing the cadets Sh. Sinah said that challenge before them (Cadets) is to integrate different parts of country as one nation by living together and enjoying life together. You have yet another bigger challenge before you that is to lead India to provide it Super Power. Recalling his University days, the governor said that he was a member of University Officers Training Corps, which later became the National Cadet Corps and is today the largest voluntary youth organization in the world. The cadets all over India presented a colorful cultural Programme representing the cultural glimpses of their respective states. The Governor was very much impressed by the cultural Programme and also gave away prizes to the cadets for their excellent performance. National Integration Camp, Nagrota provides an excellent opportunity to the cadets coming from the all the states of the nation to get an insight into the state of J & K, its heritage and secular history besides developing in them the qualities of teamwork, endurance and courage. |
