| Amit guides PG Law and Science to big win | | Inter-college cricket tournament | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 19 Post Graduate Departments of Law and Sciences today registered a big 112 runs victory over Dogra Law College in the ongoing inter-college cricket tournament at University grounds, here. Batting first after winning the toss, PG Law and Science set a big target of 245 runs for nine in the allotted 40 overs, which, in reply, Dogra Law Collge could not achieve and the whole side bowled out for 132 runs in 32.3 overs. Amit Baloria played an excellent innings of 85 runs off mere 53 balls studded with four sixes and ten hits to the fence. Ajit Pal Singh and Ankit Bakshi contributed 25 and 24 runs respectively. From Dogra Law College, Ranvir and Ashwani took three wickets each while Ishan bagged two. Chasing a target of over six runs per over, Dogra Law College lost their wickets on regular intervals while in hurry to catch the rising run rate and the whole side bowled out for a partly total of 132. Ashwani made highest 45 runs while Muzamil and Touqeer contributed 17 and 12 runs respectively. Amit Baloria and Ajit Pal Singh were most successful bowler from PG Law and Sciences, who took three wickets each. Amit Jamwal was declared man of the match for his splendid innings of 85 runs. He was presented the trophy by Prof Ashok Aima of Business School. Naveen Sharma and Ranjay Sharma were umpires in today’s match while Mohit Jamwal maintained the score. Next match: Degree College Poonch to take on Sant Rocha Singh College on October 22. |
