| Recover historical ‘Kaa-Kaa Pal’: KPs demand | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 19 A delegation of ‘Devasthan Prabandak Committee, Bijbehara of district Anantnag called on president municipal committee, Bijbehara Mufti Mohd Amin here today and discussed various issues pertaining to deteriorating conditions of various temples in the tehsil. Members of the delegation urged upon the municipal president that all the temples be cleaned up as there are big heaps of garbage, unwanted weed and plants. They stressed that in the first instance on priority basis compound of two ancient temples, Vijeshwara temple and Ghat of Harischandra temple should be cleaned up. DPCB also demanded to recover the world famous historical and miraculous “Kaa-Kaa Pal” at Bijbehara, an oval shaped huge stone which could be lifted to a man’s height by simply applying one finger each by eleven persons and attracted attention of thousands of tourists and devotees. Amin assured the delegation that all the demands would be looked into as soon as possible and offered his full cooperation for the restoration of the glory of the temples of the town. |
