Shortage of lecturers put students at the receiving end

When it comes to nurturing young minds and providing quality education particularly to the students of higher secondary level, the education department has tall claims in this regard which have proved futile.
Since the higher level education is pivotal for every aspirant who after crossing this stage had to adopt streams that becomes future career for them but it is not true said sources in the education department. Sources further informed that the department is facing hardships due to shortage of professional lecturers in some higher secondary schools with regard to computer sciences etc. Keeping in view the present global competition the said stream needs immediate attention by way of appointing professional lecturer. Since the inception of session for this course despite requests made for the appointing lecturers and on the contrary the education department has neither paid heed nor rendered assistance in this regard sources said .Unless there is sufficient infrastructure available no subject cannot be declared as compulsory subjects highly placed sources said.
Sources said that the lecturers irrespective of computer stream imparted free computer training and of the 200 lecturers only 40 qualified. The education department has shown non-cooperation despite of repeated requests.
While admitting this fact to Early Times reporter Director School Education A.K.Raina said that virtually the department is facing short of computer and environmental sciences lecturers and in this regards several recommendations were made to the concerned authorities. He said that the recruiting authorities were delaying the matter. He informed that around 40 posts were lying vacant for the last many years in department for the said streams.
Keeping in view the hardships being faced by the students he is striving so that the vacant post be got filled at an earliest and the advertisement would be published as soon as he receives nod from the authorities he further divulged.
