| KC Public School bags national award | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 20 KC Public Schook has bagged a national award for its excellence in computer literacy. The award carries Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, a glittering trophy and a certificate. Vice Chairman of schools, Raju Chowdhary received the award from Union minister of communication and information technology, Thiru, A. Raja at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. According to a communiqué from the school, it provides computer educations to its students right from LK G to 12th class. All the labs in the school are connected with Internet facility which also enables the parents to interact with the school regarding wards and various school matters. The national award conferred on the school is also a honour for teachers and students, the communiqué added. Besides, the school has also adopted a village ‘Narayana’ on Indo-Pak border where it has established a computer lab with an expenditure of Rs 10 lakh in a Govt School where children living in remote areas are exposed to computer awareness. Raman Arora (HoD computers) alongwith students Antriksh Sharma and Piyush Hermi (from 12th class and Sidhant Chowdhary (10th) also attended the prize giving ceremony at New Delhi. |
