| Chaman for close watch on Pak developments | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 21 Emphasizing for close watch on the developments, which he said were of grave nature, in the neighhouring Pakistan, the former Union Minister and senior leader of the BJP, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has said that one should remain alert when there is fire in the neighbour and that too, when already so many problems are being created from hostile elements. Addressing a workers’ meeting at Ramnagar, Chaman said that guided by religious bigotry, Pakistan was never democratic and when the seeds of extremism were sown the results are obvious. But we should see that this extremism does not get roots on this side of the borders. He regretted that the ruling leaders of the Congress and its allies had never a clear cut policy towards, theoretic Pakistan, more so, on Kashmir. Chaman pointed out that an air of uncertainty has been created by talking about the withdrawal of troops and too much boggy of human rights when infiltration is still going on and the terrorist violence is taking toll of innocents. “Terrorists training camps are yet intact in Pakistan and PoK and there is little let up in hostile approach of the mentors of terror and within the state the voices of secessionism and autonomy and self-rule are encouraging the terror,” he said. Lashing at functioning of the Congress led coalition of the state, the BJP leader said that if it was good governance, then there should be no words like anarchy and confusion. |
