Senior congress leader from Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen has demanded for establishment of a degree college here. In a press statement issued here he said that during the recent visit of Chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad ,he had promised to open a degree college at Banihal. He said due to non availability of the college most of the students are not able to continue their studies after 12th .The poor students of this tehsil are not able to pay rent, and transport charges .He also said that due to non availability of local passenger vehicles the students have to walk long distances on foot in order to reach bus stand and to travel 40kms distance from Banihal to Anantnag College. |
