| BCCI selector in Jammu to select Ranji probable | | Kashmir Ranji probable reach in Jammu for combined camp | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 21 After their `failure’ to finalise the list of probable, especially from Jammu, for the combined coaching camp, the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has invited a man, called as the BCCI selector, Sanjay Patil from Mumbai to help find the talent. Arrived in Jammu from Srinagar yesterday, the BCCI selector today observed the cricketers at the nets at GGM Science College hostel ground. It has been reliably learnt that he (Sanjay) would be watching the performance of the probable from Jammu and Srinagar in short practice matches tomorrow before handing over the list of those cricketers taking part in the final coaching camp in Jammu. Before reaching Jammu, Sanjay Patil was in Srinagar to help the Kashmir wing in finalizing the 20 probable for the combined camp in Jammu. Most of the boys from Kashmir have arrived Jammu this evening. Meanwhile, according to the insiders, the Jammu wing has already submitted a list of 25 cricketers to the top officials of the JKCA for the consideration of Mumbai selector. The long list of these cricketers included a number of senior cricketers who have attempted to make a re-entry into the state Ranji team after a long gap. These include Rajesh Gill, Pardeep Bali, Vijay Sharma and Vivek Singh. However, a couple of youngsters too have been given an opportunity to make it into the state team. Among youngsters, Ian Dev Singh, Amit Beloria and Vimarsh Kaw are the prominent cricketers. |
