| Baseball: KU men enter QFs, women lose | | | Early Times Reporter

In the ongoing 3rd all India inter-University Baseball tournament, hosts Kashmir University men have made it into the quarterfinals while women have lost on way to the last eight stage today at the Kashmir University grounds, here.
In men’s section, Kashmir University defeated MGP University Rohail Khand. The women team lost to Pune University 8-18 in their pre-quarterfinal game.
In the meantime, Uttakal University and Kerela University have also made it into the men’s quarterfinals. In the pre-quarterfinals matches played in the afternoon, Uttakal University beat Kurkshetra University 3-2 homes while Kerela University outplayed RJPV Bhopal 7-1 homes.
In women’s section, Punjab University has made it into the quarterfinals trouncing HNB Garwal 13-2 in a one-sided contest. Pune University too qualified for the last eight stage beating hosts Kashmir University by a comfortable margin of 18-8.
In all, 21 universities of the country are taking part in this tournament. |
