| Easy wins for Handoo, Rajesh, Abhishek in snooker | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 21 Srinagar boy Fajad Handoo and Rajesh Salathia were among four cueists who have made it the second round of junior snooker easily beating their opponents in straight frames in the ongoing 17th state billiards and snooker championships underway at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here today. However, in another first round match, Mayur had a difficult task in hand before he defeated Atul Tandon 3-2. Although Atul fought from behind to level the score after losing first two frames to Mayur, but Mayur played fine game and cleaned the table to win the fifth frame 65-41 and the game 3-2 also. Mudassar Nath also played nicely against Arjun Chowdhary and won his match 3-1. In other scheduled matches, Veneet got walkover Sandeep after latter failed to reach the venue in the given time. Parul was also awarded walkover Akash. Meanwhile, the second round of junior snooker competitions shall start tomorrow with all seeded cueists launching their campaign for the top honours.
