| Modification in SRO-294 sought | | | Early Times Reporter

State unit of All India confederation of SC, ST Organization has once appealed to the chief minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad to bring necessary changes in SRO-294 which has deprived them of their rights.
Addressing a press conference here today in president of confederation R.K. Kalsotra said, some elements in the government compel to withdraw SRO-186, depriving the SC/ST/OBC communities of their constitutional rights. He said federation in this connection gave several memoranda to the government demanding restoration of reservation in promotion from 4 pc to 8 pc, implementation of Mandal commission report, clearance of backlog vacancies, political reservations etc. |
