| Dogri play staged in open | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 21 Dogri play ‘Gatt’, directed by Neeraj Kant, was staged in open so as to reach to a large audience and add colour to on going Dusshera festival celebrated in the city, Balwant Thakur said that, Natrang thought of bringing theatre closer to the people as all over Jammu region Ramleela has been presented in Hindi,Natrang chose to present a Dogri play not only to popularize this language but also to tell the world that Dogri is more effective when it comes to convey meaningful message to the audience. The play ‘Ghat’ shows that one and all tend to shirk their responsibilities and work and put it on others. The play in a powerful manner showcases how concern for others in on the decline day by day and selfishness has become the order of the day, Pawan Verma in the play portrayed the role of a man in the ditch supported by Dimple Sharma as Sadhu, Gaurav Jamwal as foreigner, Mohit Sharma as Neta, Rohit Verma, Rahul Singh as Government servants and Pankush Verma as Police cop. |
