Arrangements for the celebration of ensuing Diwali festival were reviewed and finalized at a joint meeting of district officers and prominent members of commercial establishments of Reasi town here at Reasi today.
District Magistrate Reasi, Sanjeev Verma chaired the meeting while Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, B.A Saraf, SSP, Mr J.L Sharma, Tehsildar, Mr Ashok Sharma, SDPO, Mr Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Executive Engineer, R&B, officers of various departments and Municipal Committee also attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions on various issues like general law order, deployment of security forces, permission for storage and sale of crackers, loud speakers, lucky draw, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water supply arrangements, providing essential commodities, display of rate lists, first aid, fire tenders and other related issues such as sanitation and decoration of bazaar were held.
As per the past practice, the dealers would install their crackers stalls at Sports Stadium Reasi with proper permission from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Reasi.
No fire works/crackers or other such material shall be sold or stored by any other dealer without prior permission from District Magistrate, Reasi for areas within municipal limits of Reasi town and concerned tehsildars for other areas.
Besides, a committee duly headed by Chief Medical Office, AD, CAPD, Tehsildar, Executive officers, Municipal Committee and concerned SHO and Food Inspector would ensure display of rate list, sanitation, security, check on over charging and use of commercial gas cylinders. |
