| Khoda reviews battalion functioning | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Oct 22 Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda today asked the jawans and officers of the force to maintain the high standards of professional excellence it has achieved during its life span. Addressing the Kashmir based commandants of Armed battalions here today Khoda said the police should focus on developing police public relations and come forward to the redressal of peoples’ grievances. He asked them to build the over all morale of the cadre and ensure that the problems of the officials are disposed off in the most transparent manner. He asked the officers to undertake routine inspections of their battalions and formulate action plan to implement various decisions taken during the meeting. The meeting also took up issues pertaining to deployment of jawans, transfers, filling up of vacancies, improvement of mess facilities, speedy disposal of enquiries providing para-medical facilities. He said that meritorious officers and jawans would be rewarded on the basis of their performance and the incompetent ones would be punished suitably and asked them to maintain discipline and sancity of the organizaation at all levels. Earlier, Inspector General of Police Headquarters J. A. Maqdoomi and IGP of Police Armed Sheikh Owais Ahmad also addressed the meeting. Among others the meeting was attended by DIGs Zahoor Hussain Chisti, Rainder Kotwal, Farooq Ahmad, AIG Personal Abdul Qayoom AIG (T&I) Rajesh Kumar. |
