| JKP lifts All India Police Golf Tournament 2007 | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Oct 22 Jammu and Kashmir Police team lifted the 11th All India Police Golf Tournament 2007 recently held at Chandigarh Golf Club. The team members presented the trophy to the Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda at a function held here today at Police Headquarters. Khoda complimented the team for bringing laurels in the tournaments and said that every effort would be made by officers and jawans for promoting the sports activities in the state so that they can play at the national level. Jammu and Kashmir Police Team consisting SSP Kargil Garib Dass, SSP Crime and Railways Abdul Gaffar Malik who participated in the 11th AIP GT-2007 and won the championship trophy for the J&K Police. Garib Dass was declared individual net winner. Whereas Abdul Gaffar Malik won the stable fort trophy in the tournament. This is for the first time that J&K police has won the tournament giving a challenge to BSF, CRPF and other state police forces in the country. On the occasion, Khoda announced the cash award of Rs 50,000 to the J&K Police Team who won the tournament. Among others the function was attended by IGP Headquarter J. A. Maqdoomi. DIG Trainings Ravinder Kotwal, DIG Administration Farooq Ahmad, AIG Personnel Abdul Qayoom Manhas and other senior police offices. |
