Members of Shia Community of the region framed an executive body under the name of ‘Shia Federation of Jammu province (SFJP) here today and elected Aashiq Hussian Khan as its president, and Shiekh Aashiq Hussian as patron-in-chief of the federation.
Speaking on the occasion, Khan said that he is fully aware about the problems that Shia community faces and assured the gathering that he will leave no stone unturned in the redressal of all the grievances. He said it is for the first time in J&K history that Shia federation has been formed in Jammu province.
The other elected office bearers of the federation are Advocate Jameel kazmi, Syed Mureed Jafri, Akbar Ali Ansari, Syed Saleem Shah, Rizwan Ali, Syed Yaseen Shah, Dr. Liaqat Jafri, Syed Sohail Kazmi, Jaffar Hussain Nehvi, Syed Shokat Kazmi, Dr. Amir Shah, Najam Jafri, Riaz Mir and Syed Khursheed Shah. |
