| 12 days training programme on HIV/AIDS held | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 23 Post Graduate Department of psychology in collaboration with State Aids control society, J&K under the aegis of National Aids Control Organization (NACO) organized 12 days training programme of HIV/AIDS counsellors of J&K at Jammu University. Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. BPS Sehgal was the chief guest on the occasion while Dr. MA Wani Director, State Aids Control Society, J&K and Dr. Kum-Kum, Head Dept.of Blood Bank J&K, Prof. JR Panda, Head PG Department of Sociology were the guests of honor. HOD Psychology, Prof. SR Khan speaking on the occasion highlighted the importance of the counseling of the HIV patients and their families and also shared the processes involved in the counseling. Dr. Wani introduced the nature and objectives of the programme and also explained the implementation and the explained the implementation and monitoring process of different HIV/AIDS related schemes in J&K schemes. Prof. BPS Sehgal (Dean Academic Affairs) on this occasion highlighted the legal aspects and role human psychology as a win tool to be used for the betterment of the HIV patients and their families. Prof. Kulwant, Prof. Deepshikha Kotwal, Prof. Anand, Piyanka Sharma was also presented on the occasion. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Arti Bakshi, coordinator of the programme. |
