| Media personality interacts with business school | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 23 Broadcasting in its present form is under siege and will become a medium that will be more consumer friendly with choice of products and programmes dominating the scenario stated noted media personality Ashok Ogra while interacting with the students at The Business School, University of Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, he also said that new technology is driving the medium to be ore interactive and with bandwidth increasing, virtual world will become realty in the coming years. The audience will be able to watch, hearTV, Radio, anytime, anywhere and at any place with mobiles, wrist watches providing value additions in the form of video content stated Ogra. He further apprised that contrary to the popular belief that media has huge openings for those having finance, HR and Marketing and has to sell its time/space to advertisers. The session evoked a number of questions from the MBA students who were keen to know the job opportunities for them in this sector. He also urged the aspiring Jammu students to also consider media as an option for their career placement and growth. Director Business school, Prof. Keshav Sharma, stated that the schhol was working under the stewardship of Pro. Amitabh Mattoo, Vice Chancellor of Jammu University. Prof. Sharma futher stated that present interaction is a part of the ongoing Ishwinder Mahajan Memorial Lecturer Series. The interaction session was also attended by Prof. JR Dhotra, Dean The Business School and the other faculty members of The Business School. |
