| Celebrations in Kundal’s village | | | Ajay Menia Jammu | Oct 23 On getting the news of appointment of B.R. Kundal as the new chief secretary of the state, residents of Biaspur a border village in tehsil R.S. Pura began merry making and distributed sweets while hailing the decision of the state cabinet. Congratulating each other, the villagers burst crackers and danced on the roads. Badhraj a local residents while talking to ‘Early Times’, said, not only Biaspur, even residents of adjacent villagers feel proud of Kundal, as he is the first villager of the state and a Dalit to hold highest administrative post in the state administration. Daljeet Chib and Sanjeev on the occasion said Kundal has brought laurals to the village and as such every villager feel proud of him. Kundal started his career as a school teacher and cleared I.A.S. He served state administration is various capacities during his long service period. He will replace present Chief Secretary C. Chief Secretary C. Phunsong who is retiring on October 31. |
